El Paso Marathon Presents a New Year’s Resolution Party

Thursday, January 13, 2011

El Paso, Texas -- The El Paso Marathon Foundation is all about helping you become a better YOU in 2011--We’d love to be your new year’s resolution! To get you started on your path, we’ll be hosting an insightful clinic disguised as a party (shhh…) designed for potential 5k and half marathoners. Visit with us on Thursday, January 13th at Geske’s Fire Grill, 1506 Lee Trevino, from 5:30p to 7:30p and gain valuable information from nutrition and training experts designed to get even the most stubborn non-runners out and about. Being a “marathoner” has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

Whether you’re a curious “non-runner”, assembling a team or plan on meeting a personal goal by participating in the marathon, the New Year’s Resolution party is a great way to get inspired and get training. Meet like-minded individuals, get training tips, and have a great time. The El Paso Marathon will take place on Sunday, March 6, 2011.

Resolving to give back to your community? Come down to the New Year’s party and sign up to volunteer with the El Paso Marathon.

The El Paso Marathon organization continues to grow in strides each year. What started in 2006 with 1,100 runners has been on a healthy growth path--we’re expecting close to 4000 people to take to the streets in 2011!
