Today on "The Lisa D Show" at noon on KHRO 1150 AM we're going talk to several board members from the Women's Fund of El Paso, www.womensfundofelpaso.org, about this week's Power of the Purse on Thursday at Union Depot. The event is focused on: Supporting the educational advancement and leadership development of single mothers and other women, the Women's Fund of El Paso will hold its signature POWER OF THE PURSE fundraiser on October 14, 2010 at The Union Depot in downtown El Paso.
Then we'll talk to Van English, live in the studio, about National Coming out Month and his personal experience with coming out to his friends and family as a gay man. English sits on the board of the Rio Grande Adelante and is an advocate for LGBT rights in El Paso.
