3.23.10 Today’s Guest

In the El Paso Times Blog section, Fort Bliss military spouse Vivian Carraso writes about her daily living and reflections as a military spouse in her blog, "My Wedded Bliss." Carrasco and her husband, David, a career officer in the United States Army and their two sons live near Fort Bliss, Texas in the West Texas town of El Paso.

Since moving to El Paso in July 2009 from Fort Lee, Virginia, Carrasco has always maintained a very positive and holistic approach to her life in West Texas. This quote is from her first entry: “When you look back and reflect on your time in West Texas it won't be the dry heat you consider as much as the relationships that you have had the opportunity to build while you're here. Those relationships start with you; extend to those within your reach and finally those outside of your home's safe walls.”

Today we'll talk about Carrasco's military life, tips on how to acclimate to El Paso and ten signs you are a military family living in El Paso.
