11.4.10: Today's Show

Today on The Lisa D Show at noon on KHRO 1150 AM we'll start the show with an interview with Don Williams, Chair of El Paso Lawyers for Patriots, about this weekend's El Paso Lawyers for Patriots' legal clinic. This Saturday, November 6 (kicking off statewide Veterans Day events), from 9am to 2pm, active duty military, veterans and their families can go to El Paso Community College's Transmountain Campus for FREE legal assistance, regardless of financial eligibility.

Then we'll talk to the team from the YWCA planning Walk a Mile in Her Shoes. Info: On November 11th, the YWCA will partner with S.T.A.R.S. to host an event unlike any other; Walk a Mile in Her Shoes: The International Men's March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault and Gender Violence. It is - literally - a men's march, and they will - literally - walk in her shoes. Yes, men in high heels marching through downtown El Paso for a good cause. What could be more fun than that? Only this: followoing the march, participants will be treated to a fabulous reception at The Garden restaurant in Union Plaza, complete with food and live entertainment! We hope this FUN experience will help increase awareness of a very serious subject in our community. Visit www.ywcaelpaso.org for more information.
