Today on "The Lisa D Show" at noon MST on KHRO 1150 AM we will interview chef Bobby Griffing, pictured here with a skinned lamb around his shoulders. Bobby currently mans the kitchen at El Pisto where he is bringing innovative and fun food parties, beer and tequila tastings, pig roasts and more to the El Paso culinary scene. We'll talk about this Saturday's pig roast where he will cook whole pigs in a Caja China Box and the industry's love affair with meat.
We'll also be promoting several free events taking place this weekend. We'll hear from our friends at the Archaeology Museum about a free music program this Sat. from 2-4 p.m.
Info: Join us for a musical exploration of Latin America with a Family Workshop by Ceiba. Families with children age six years and up are invited to participate in a creative exploration of music and art inspired by ancient and modern Latin America from México to the Andes led by the El Paso musical group Ceiba. Both English and Spanish will be spoken during this workshop. Adults and children will be creating together, making art, speaking and writing in small groups. Children will take home the art they make.
