7.20.10: Today's Show

Today on "The Lisa D Show" at noon MST on KHRO 1150 we'll interview the creator of Girls Gone Riding cycling group, Sheryl Zwolski Keeme. Based in Phoenix, Arizona, Sheryl recently established a 501 c3 Women's Cycling club and is hopeful to have a chapter in El Paso. According to Sheryl, "It's an amazing way to bring women of all ages together, but even more importantly, boomer women who need to be active and want to connect with other women but are intimidated with getting started and a lot of questions."

You can visit her blog at girlsgoneriding.blogspot.org and be sure to tune in at 12:30 MST to hear news and information about the group and how you can jump on the cycling bandwagon or bike seat!

This interview should inspire you to attend El Paso Critical Mass on July 30!

Also, I will be helping out at this Wednesday's 3rd Annual YLS Turbo Networking Event at Aceituna's from 6-8:30 p.m. “The purpose of the UWYLS Turbo Networking event is to help others while we help ourselves,” said Shannon Osborne, President of UWYLS. “You have an opportunity to exchange ideas, brainstorm about topics, give advice, and share business contacts. What you have to offer someone is just as important as what you hope to gain from a new business relationship.”

UWYLS Turbo Networking Event is sponsored by New York Life, and Brokers Logistics, Ltd and Affiliates. The event is open to the public. The cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Admission can be paid at the door.

Lastly, congratulations to the Ghost Light Creative Team! More than 10 filmmakers turned in their 8-minute short this past weekend and this Friday night at the Percolator you are invited to view all the films and stay for the awards ceremony. Click here for more info www.ghostlightevents.com.
