Jill King Wynn, Sculptor, is on an Evanston Odyssey

Jill King Wynn moved to Evanston around 1980 and has been on a self described "odyssey" since then, which is the title of her new sculpture installation at the Evanston Civic Center., "Evanston Odyssey".  Nestled in the southwest stair well, her sculpture climbs more than 50 up three flights of stairs, three big orbs of light and steel and fabric. July 20, the public is invited to celebrate Jill and the installation at a public reception 5-8 p.m. at the Civic Center on Ridge Ave.

Jill is a funny, smart, engaging artist who has been on a very determined and focused journey. We talk about how she persists through her field, the many places she shares her talent to include Evanston Art Center and Art Encounter and how to land public installation gigs.
