12.21.10: Today on The Lisa D Show



Today on The Lisa D Show at noon we'll talk to Jennifer Cedillo from Shamaley's Chime n Rhyme Contest. After 8 exciting weeks, the contest wrapped up last Friday with Emily Davis winning the grand prize check for $2,500! We'll talk to Jennifer about the campaign results and how you can participate next year.

Then we'll run through some last minute holiday gift ideas from the Give the Gift of El Paso feature on this blog.

Today on The Lisa D Show at noon we'll start the show with Chris Benoit from the Paso Del Norte Civil Rights Project. Benoit will be on the air promoting tonight's fundraiser, Rise For Your Rights: A Concert Fundraiser for PDNCRP. Info: Thursday, October 28 · 5:30pm - 11:30pm, Music and performers from jazz to indie to break dancers and a bunch in between. Please help us promote this exciting event by sharing the news with your friends, neighbors, co-workers, students, and all the other music-lovers and civil-rights-supporters in your life.

Then we'll hear from our good friend Ruben Zavala about his favorite video games and more importantly what interviews he will feature on his radio show this Saturday.

Last, we'll promote an exciting and scary event! El Paso Museum of History Presents
Museum Ghost Month, “Special Ghost Hunts in the Museum”, Friday, 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. The hunt on October 29th will feature Chris Medina of G.H.O.S.T. of El Paso. Chris will share experiences of other historic sites in and around the city and will lead the investigation for the museum. All three tours will have audience participation. Program fee for the 29th hunts will be $5 for members/$10 for non-members. These programs are open to all ages.
