9.28.10: Today Show

Today on "The Lisa D Show" at noon MST on KHRO 1150 AM we'll interview outgoing El Paso Public Library Director Carol Brey-Casiano. In a recent El Paso Times article, Brey-Casiano announced her departure and "plans to travel the world and help improve literacy and other nations' libraries.

Brey-Casiano, 53, announced Tuesday that she's retiring from the city of El Paso and is taking a job with the U.S. State Department as an information resource officer.

Her last day with the city will be Oct. 20, and then she'll go to Washington, D.C., for three to six months of training. From there, she will be assigned to an embassy overseas and will work with libraries and librarians wherever she goes. She doesn't know what her ultimate destination will be."
