Eli Velasquez, Executive Director of the TransPecos/El Paso Regional Center of Innovation and Commercialization (RCIC) will be the guest on "The Lisa D Show" today from 1 - 2 p.m. on KHRO 1150 am. Tune in or stream the show from www.talkradio1150.com. Call the show @ 915.880.4376.
The RCIC was founded in 2005 by UTEP and later developed by The Paso del Norte Group in response to the state of Texas’ request to have a regional entity capable of identifying and preparing applicants for the State’s Emerging Technology Fund. RCIC is currently working with Secure Origins, Mayan Pigments, TXL Group and Lumedyne Technology.
From the RCIC website “Our success is predicated on generating opportunities for commercialization and entrepreneurship that lead to the creation of new high tech businesses and high tech jobs.” For more information visit www.tpeprcic.org. Today we’re talking with the Eli Valesquez about a new survey developed by the RCIC to help the “RCIC identify and profile inventors and potential inventors in El Paso, Las Cruces, Juarez and surrounding areas. The RCIC will use the data collected in the survey to identify the needs, processes and successes of area inventors, as well as provide the RCIC with a demographic profile for the group.”
